Fr William O’Grady

Fr O’Grady was Parish Priest of Our Lady’s three times – 1938-1943, 1950-1954, and 1959-1967. When he retired in 1967, he lived in Pateley Bridge until his death in 1971.

As well as being a great intellectual, he was a gifted poet who, amongst his other writings, produced a compilation of moving poetry on Our Lord’s Passion.  He was very artistic and produced many drawings and cartoons.
